Halloween

Our Cowboy and his Horse helped us hand out candy.
This isn't a costume. This is a real cowboy.
Getting Ty the horse ready for the evening.
"HeeYah", roughly translated as "Yeeha".
Did some Trick or Treating with Anderson, wearing the back-up cowboy hat.
Ty fell asleep on our neighbor Mitzi at the neighborhood block party.

Homecoming Queen

Our girl won Homecoming Queen. We are exceedingly proud! Unfortunately, the photographer didn't do too well. But we got a few....

It was freezing...her teeth were chattering.

It's Fall, Y'all!

We went to a pumpkin patch a couple of weekends ago...so much fun. We rode a hayride out to the pumpkins, picked our pumpkins, played in the hay maze, and saw some animals on the way.

Me and the boys before the big hayride.

Daddy, did you know that hayrides can make you very thirsty!

Don't tell Ian that its too heavy...

The Cowboy

Ok, for about a month and a half, Ian has taken a liking to cowboys, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats...really anything that has to do with a cowboy. In fact, a few times he has looked at me or Jeff and simply stated, "I love cowboys". Anyway, when we draw on the white board, I always have to draw a cowboy for him. Here is my very sad attempt at a cowboy (but hey, my boy loves it)...

Tonight, he and Granny were drawing. Granny had been commissioned to draw a kitty cat and Ian was scribbling...so we thought! He looks at me and says "look, my cowboy". I look up, expecting to see lots of black and blue lines all over the board but much to my surprise was this...

Now, I'm not kidding myself, I realize we have not stumbled upon raising the next Van Gogh or Monet but come on...this was a pretty incredible fluke! So glad I got the picture snapped before he went wild with the markers...

Granny and the Boys

Mom is in town and had her third of six scheduled chemo treatments today. While we look forward to her visits having nothing to do with illness, these 2 little boys light up when they see their Granny.

Jeff's Birthday and the State Fair

Today is Jeff's birthday and the State Fair is in town. So, we celebrated his 34th by taking the kiddos for some good ole carnival fun! (by the way, this was our second trip...we went Sunday too)

Ian was really brave and rode just about every ride that he was big enough to ride!

Ty hung out looking good!

Ian and Anderson loved the animals at the FFA exhibit!

Ian was creating a masterpiece for Daddy's birthday!

Sweet boys love their Daddy! Happy Birthday Jeff!!

The Beach

Ian and Sean at the pool.
Not trying to be artistic. They just won't look at the camera together.

Brotherly love (whether you want it or not Ty.)

Ian's first day of "School"

Ok, its really Mother's Day Out but that is too long to say and type! He had a good morning, walked right in the classroom and started dancing to the music. He ate pizza and a cupcake for a birthday party and he even got to paint. However, Ian thought is was ridiculous that he should have to "nap" any other place than at home! I got the call at noon that I should probably come and get him, he was not handling things well. I went and picked him up and by 12:30, he was sound asleep in the van! Overall, I think he did great and had a super morning. Next week will be better (although I'm picking him up early to avoid any breakdowns).
