Well, it took a little patience, but I finally captured the little man smiling. He was so happy and active that I made a short video also.

Extremes

I have been on a quest (thus far unsuccesful) to get a picture of Ian smiling. He is smiling more each day, provided there is no camera in sight. Two seconds before and after I snapped the picture - huge smiles. Camera ready - he gives me the staredown.
Sometimes a man gets so worn out he can't even hold on to his pacifier.

Some Random Pics

Libby is still not sure she likes Ian getting all the attention, but she has started to take an interest in him. She'll lay next to him and sneak in the occasional lick (when we aren't looking).

Ian is a man of many faces. Not sure what this one means.

We already have a playgroup. Logan and Ian were born just a few hours apart on June 9. Meredith is a little older at 4 months. And for the record, 2 out of 3 faces turned toward the camera is as good as it was going to get.

He rolled over for us a few times before we had the camera ready. To date he is only successful going in one direction. It seems he forgot that for a little while.

Ian Thomas Fitzgerald

We had to make a trip to Jackson today to make everything official with his adoption. We went before a judge (that's him, Judge Robinson) and had the paperwork completed to make the adoption final. He is legally and officially Ian Thomas Fitzgerald. It's an understatement, but today was a good day.

The x-ray and the new glasses

He also had to get glasses this week. Poor Dew.
This is a copy of the xray from last Wednesday. Believe it or not, they say it will heal perfectly.
He's still a happy guy!
