We went to Atlanta this weekend to meet the "Watkins clan" and see a Braves game. We had a good time. You'll see that the boys slept at the game...Ty is sleeping with Ms. Jennie (Jeff Walker's mom).

Tired guy!
Ian loves to watch "youtube"....yeah, yeah, I know. Anyway, he loves this one video of some guy (Travis Barker) doing a drum solo to Soulja Boy. Its pretty cool, especially if you love the drums like Ian. So, here is what happens when a tired little boy has to watch the drums over and over!

More from the weekend
Ian liked the chalkboard side of the easel OK,
But he can tear up some dry erase markers.
Goggy pulled him around in the wagon-o-balls.
Old school black and white for the old school inchworm.

Ian's Party
Ian outlasted everyone playing in the sprinklers.
He loves his "Handy Manny" hat and tools. I haven't told him it is actually Bob the Builder.
Totally got into opening his presents.
His cool cake. He blew out the candles by himself.
Ellie Dalton holding Ty.

Happy Birthday, Big Boy!!
This short clip is of Ian at his party. He's singing "Happy Birthday" to "mama" but close enough. Anyway, we will put some pictures up from the party soon.

Why do we do it??
Why do we:
trade in watching grown up movies for watching Dora and the Wonderpets?
trade in the Acura TL for the Honda Odyssey?
trade in adult conversation for "goo goo gaa gaa"?
trade in exercising at the gym for running after 2 year olds in the backyard?
trade in reading a good book for reading a good book over and over and over?
trade in thinking about ourselves first to never thinking about ourselves?
Its really an easy answer:

What a smile!
For some time, Ian has been opposed to stopping, looking at the camera, and actually smiling all at the same time. So, usually the pictures we post are of the side of his head or they are a little blurry...you know the deal. But in this short instant, we captured a great smile with Ian looking at the camera....of course, he is covered in blue and yellow popsicle juice. But, hey, that's our Ian!
