Days 2 and 3

Ready for the ride home.
Ty in a hat made by his Mommy.

Ian showed off his "Big Brother" T-shirt. He would point to his chest and say "Brudda". And it is officially impossible to get a shot of him looking at the camera.

Ian's Last Week as an Only Child Begins

My beautiful wife (who feels like she is about to burst).
It's all baby, baby.
Ian chillin with some tunes on my Ipod. Check out the sweet elephant head phones.
Ian and Mommy did a little patio chalk drawing yesterday.
Thanks Aunt Mandy and Uncle Chad for my fort.
Ian got this for Christmas but we decided to wait until after the move for him to use it.
He and I spent this morning inside the fort (no girls allowed).
As you can see he digs it.
Our attempt at "Say Cheese".

"Lawlie"

Here is Ian's newest love, The Laurie Berkner Band. Actually, he has really liked her for awhile on "Jack's Big Music Show" but now we have her DVD of videos and he sits, for 25 minutes, mezmerized at the TV! After its over, he walks around the house asking for "Lawlie, Lawlie, Lawlie, Peeez" Is this bad? I figure this will come in handy when the baby gets here. Anyway, here is Ian enjoying his favorite "Lawlie" video....

oh, we do use the heat. Ian just loves his hat!

I'm so big!

This may not seem like a big deal to everyone but to have Ian actually "want" to feed himself is a huge thing around here. Yes, he does want the fork or spoon that we use but he is perfectly content to have us place the food in his mouth for him. This was not that big of a deal until now...I'm starting the 2 week count down to having a newborn...how can I possibly do all of this?? Anyway, Ian must have sensed my distress and started doing this on his own last night...YEA!

The Rodeo

The Dixie National Rodeo is this week in Jackson. I haven't been in years but we knew that Ian would love seeing the cows and horses. We were right! He was fascinated with the whole thing. We were able to see some of the "slack" competitions which are free (its the competition to qualify for the real rodeo). Here are some pictures from our morning.

Ian watching the steer wrestling competition.

Ian and Daddy...

Mommy and Ian (plus Ty as the tag-along)

Finally, a horse up close!

Cute calf. MOOOO!

"OK...what is up with the smell around here?"

The past few weeks

Ok, so a lot has happened in the past couple of weeks. We moved to Brandon and have slowly unpacked and Jeff started his new job. Those are the 2 big things. The rest are just details. Anyway, I have some pictures that I wanted to share. I didn't take any of the boxes stacked to the ceiling...it was too depressing to capture all of that on film!

My friends in Hattiesburg gave me a really nice shower before we moved. It was sort of like a going away party too. Thanks ladies! (Hey, I thought that vertical stripes were supposed to make you look thin?!?!)

This is mine and Ian's last Mommy and Me...I was very sad but tried to keep it together! Anyway, this is my poor attempt to capture Ian and Meredith together...nice try but its pretty much impossible to get 2 toddlers to stand still at the same time!

This is the rocking chair where everybody gets to sit and the group sings to you! Lots of fun!

Here is Ian in his new back yard...he loves it! He's getting ready for a huge slam dunk!

Just hanging around the house...

Ian got a Jr. Quad from Santa but has been a little reluctant to actually ride it. But he ventured out the other night and took a spin on it...however, he doesn't steer so Mommy and Daddy had to be the navigators.

Here is a really good belly shot! I was interested in something on tv when Jeff snapped it....Enjoy! Oh, just to let you know, on Tuesday, I'll be 34 weeks. Time is ticking away!

Snow?? Really??

This post isn't from North Carolina...its from South Mississippi! We woke up this morning to find a white winter wonderland outside! Actually, once it hit the ground it stuck but was very slushy. But watching it fall was beautiful. Never thought that Ian would see snow at his own house!

Our house...at least for one more week....if you haven't heard, we are moving next week to Brandon. Jeff is going to start working at Baptist in Jackson.

This is the 2nd tee box by our house. I wonder why nobody is out there...its Saturday...

Here is Ian's reaction to the snow. He had a fun time in the cold weather!
